Our Friends Have Great Taste

A big part of enjoying what Lark Market has to offer is trying new things. Unfortunately, we opened three months into the pandemic in 2020 and sampling products wasn't safe. We've been dreaming of holding an event to host a lot of our friends who have small food businesses.

It's finally happening. 

On Saturday, April 23, from 10 am - 2 pm we'll be hosting our first Artisan Foodie Fair to give you a chance to try a lot of products you may have been curious about.

Gail Ambrosius is a dear friend and was my first freelance client about a decade ago. I worked with her for several years, writing her marketing copy and managing her public relations, and it was such a joy. We're so excited to have her here to demonstrate the different varietals of Central American chocolate that she uses to make her dark chocolate truffles, bars and other treats.

Marcia Castro is another great friend. She is a part owner of The Old Fashioned on the Capitol Square in Madison and also of The Deliciouser, a spice blend company that also began operations during the pandemic. Marcia will be sampling dishes made with her spice blends and may do a couple cooking demos.

Matt Lyne from Prestige Wines is also a dear friend. You may have seen us sampling wines with him at the shop or at Lark. He really knows his wines and is a great storyteller.  We know he will be pouring something great for you to try. 

We'll also have BJ from Quince & Apple and Potter's Crackers here to sample their preservers and crackers. We'll have samples of some of the Wisconsin cheese we carry to try as well.

Finally, I will be sampling cocktails made with Yes! Cocktail Co. mix.
