We had the grand good fortunate of visiting this winery right on the border between Portugal and Spain, in the heart of Vinho Verde country, and drinking this beautiful Alvarhino with its owner, Joanna Santiago. She and her family tend to the vineyards personally, ensuring all work is done manually and with ecologically responsible methods. This single vineyard release has a generous body and rich citrus and floral character and plenty of freshness. A balanced wine for scallops, salmon, or other rich seafood. It's also great all on its own.
